Ich hab mal jeff gefragt, wie er die Bilder in seinen Kampagnen Lamentia's Story und Dragnons' Fate als minimaps hergestellt hat. Hier seine Antwort:
"If he has downloaded the program h4util then all of the information he needs is in the document that comes with it. I have attached a zip file with the program in case he doesn’t have it. It has a word document that gives fairly good directions. I will list below a few of the key points people overlook.
The picture must be saved as a 256 color bmp, and name it minimap.bmp. The size of the picture varies depending on the size of the map.
- For an S map: 56x56
- For an M map: 109x109
- For an L map: 162x164
- For an XL map: 218x218;
Those are pixels. There is a gui interface available but I have never had much luck with it, so he will need to type in the commands at the command prompt. It runs fine on all versions of windows from the command prompt. The command line is H4Util.exe xxx.h4c –w –l0 (that is the letter l then the number 0 for the surface) if you want to set a picture to the ground level, or H4Util.exe xxx.h4c –w –l1 if you want to set a picture to the underground level. The xxx.h4c is the mapfile name he wishes to picturize.
The warning in the parentheses is important as more than one person missed the fact of the letter ‘l’.
Ich hoffe, dass du damit etwas anfangen kannst. Da ich selbst keine Maps kreiere, habe ich keine Lust, mich da hinein zu knien und das Ganze auch noch zu übersetzen.
Das Tool H4-util hat er mir mitgeschickt, Du kannst es dir bei Celestial Heavens selbst herunterladen, ich schicke es Dir aber auch gerne zu.
Danke erst einmal Koni, auf dich ist immer verlass. H4util benutze ich schon sehr lange, um
meine Zufalls-Maps zu erstellen. für ein kleines Spiel zwischendurch. 
Mit der Word-Datei habe ich mich noch nie
beschäftigt, sind ein paar ganz interessante Dinge darin enthalten.
Ich komm jetzt aber trotzdem nicht weiter. Ich gebe in der Eingabeaufforderung
folgendes ein:
H4Util.exe xxx.h4c –w –l0
stimmt es das ich den Name meines Bildes, was ich auf die richtige Größe
gebracht habe und als 256 bmp im Ordner wo das Tool drin ist gespeichert habe,
für das xxx.h4c eingebe? Und was hat es hinten mit der 10 oder 11 auf sich?
Sorry für die doofen Fragen. Aber jetzt wo ich das scripten gut hinbekomme,
soll es daran nicht scheitern.
Musst du denn nicht die 3x durch den Namen deiner Map ersetzen? Also nicht xxx.h4c, sondern z.B. gimlismap.h4c. Hast du außerdem daran gedacht, dein picture "minimap.bmp" zu benennen? Ansonsten keine Ahnung!
