Alte Kampanien MOD für TotE..

    Euch ist aber schon klar, das die Kampangen, die ihr jetzt in ToE spielen könnt *NICHT* die Originalkampangen sind, oder?


    Die sind nämlich auf das nichtvorhandensein der neuen Fähigkeiten hin entwickelt worden. Dur die Neuerungen spielen die sich anders.


    Ich bereue nicht, alle drei Teile gekauft zu haben, obwohl ich mir dem Mod auch installiere, weil ich die alten Kampangen gerne anders spiele, als sie konzipiert sind.

    Kann ein Mod überhaupt so stark in die Spielmechanik eingreifen, dass sich die Kampagnen wie die alten spielen? Es ist sicher kein Problem, die alternativen Upgrades auszuschalten, aber kann man denn auch beispielsweise das Skillsystem wieder auf Version 2.1 zurückschalten? Da gab es doch groÃe Unterschiede zwischen HoF und TotE.
    Mit anderen Worten: Mich würde ein Erfahrungsbericht mit dem Look and Feel Mod auch interessieren. Ich spiele die Kampagnen auf jeden Fall erstmal mit TotE-Elementen durch.

    Dann musst du aber trotzdem HoMM5 und HoF gekauft haben, weil einer Verbreitung der originalen H5 und HoF exe garantiert nicht so ganz legal ist.

    Es gibt Leute, die finden es immer dreist, wenn andere was umsonst bekommen, wofür sie selbst Geld bezahlt haben. Diese Argumentation kann ich nicht nachvollziehen und ist doch wohl auf bloÃen Neid zurückzuführen.


    1. Sie haben freiwillig Geld für etwas bezahlt.
    2. Sie haben für das Geld das bekommen, was sie wollten.
    3. Dadurch, dass andere das jetzt kostenlos bekommen, haben sie nicht weniger bekommen und sie bekommen ja auch nix weggenommen, oder?

    ich weiss nicht, auf der einen Seite wird ein ewiges hickhack wegen Kopierschutz und Raubkopieen gemacht und auf der anderen Seite dann sowas. Rein theoretisch müssen die exe's ja nen NoCD-Crack drauf haben, wie sollte sonst jemand mit nur ToE den CD-Check überstehen?


    Und nochmal, nur zur Beruhigung :), ich bereue es trotzdem nicht, alle drei Programme gekauft zu haben. Da zählt für mich klar der Zeitvorteil gegenüber allen, die die ersten Kampangen erst jetzt spielen können :D.

    Also ich habs nun peobiert. Es handelt sich um die TotE .exe's. Diese wurden modifiziert. Die Erweiterung sind enthalten aber wurden z.T. in den Kampanien restriktiert. Karavane unsw. funzt auf jeden Fall.

    Als mein Deutch nicht so gut ist, ich werde in Englisch antworten, als einige Grunden hier wichtig sind. Entchuldigen sie mir bitte.


    The look'n feel packs do not change ToE mechanics: the campaigns are the same with and without the pack, and use ToE new features.
    It would be possible to revert the mechanics closer to H5 or HoF (no alternates, old skill trees...), but I didn't do it. Note that it would be doable in a mod (no exe tweaking should be necessary).
    The look'n feel packs do the following: dedicated .exe with H5/HoF icon, original splash screen, mainmenu anim, only H5/HoF campaigns available, and separate savegames (if you're using autosave/quicksave and want to play H5, HoF and ToE campaigns at the same time, you can!).
    The H5 dedicated exe loads mods from UserMODs/ as usual, AND mods from UserMODs/H5/, so any mod there does not impact vanilla ToE: no conflict possible.


    About the value of having bought H5/HoF before:
    this has been said already: if you bought HoF one year ago, you played for one year already! That's actually what you bought. When you buy a PC, you know you could have the same at half price one year later, but you still buy it now.


    However, if someone was to buy HoF or H5 today (or the Gold Edition), it better be because he's a fan and want to own each and every box released (or it's a very cheap price). For a regular user, there's not much point. That's the reason I asked Ubisoft if I could release the campaigns, and why they asked me to wait a little (considering it would happen anyway eventually). Ubisoft's attitude with ToE should really be respected, since they have put the players' interest clearly above marketing choices.

    As for the translation in german, i already did mention almost the same thing you did point out here within your posting. That's because i did sequently read your threads at the modders workshop forum. The only reason i ain't registered there yet is my more bad than good ability to write in english. Sooner or later i would have to register since i'm desperatly looking for some special mods. So mayby you could help me. I'm looking for an actual version of the Necro Button Mod. All i did find was an old version which misses the barbarian creatures. An actual version is located at the chiniese forum but as hard as i tried, i wasn't able to dl it. Don't ask me why. i can't get nothing at all within this forum. I also don't understand french otherwise i would take a look at the french forum. As far as i know, you are french, aren't you?

    AchtBit, your english is good, very understandable, and in any case far better than many people posting on HC. ;)
    And yes I'm french. But I deem it very important to publish in english as well, hence the english pages on heroes-fr (about the campaigns and the NCF), and it's only the beginning. :)
